At Punto Cubano we offer multi-week courses throughout the year. Join our beautiful and welcoming community on the dance floor!
Starting at level 1 (Beginner) to level 6 (Superior). Each level builds upon the previous course. Ensuring you will maximize your skills, joy and creativity in Cuban Salsa.

You can join whenever you want!
New to Cuban Salsa? We have options all year round. Without any experience it is best to:

Some experience? With experience (level 2+) it is best to:
Join a Full Course - we offer 5 start moments per year
Join a Mid-Course - at any moment in time you can join all remaining available classes of the selected course!

Which level should I pick?
Pick the level that suits your skills!
If you are not sure about your level, read the information about our different levels.
Do you have some experience but are (still) unsure which is your level, don’t worry! It is possible to book a Single Class first to test your level, before booking the full course.

Salsa Level 1 - Beginner 1
During the classes of this multi-week course you are introduced to the first steps of Cuban Salsa. Concepts of leading and following are explored.

Salsa Level 2 - Beginner 2
During the classes of this multi-week course we build upon figures from the level 1 course. We become more familiar with the different roles (leading vs. following) in Cuban Salsa, in order to increase playfulness and creativity while dancing.

Salsa Level 3 - Intermediate
During the classes of this multi-week course we build upon figures from the level 2 course. We focus on more complex figures and styling tips that are important for Cuban Salsa.

Salsa Level 4 - Semi-advance
During the classes of this multi-week course we focus on various ways Cuban Salsa is danced. More advanced concepts like couple rotation and Rueda de Casino are introduced. Cuban rhythms are explored, such as Rumba, Mambo, Cha cha cha, Pilón, Afro-Cuban beats and Cubatón.

Salsa Level 5 - Advance
During the classes of this multi-week course we focus on complicated figures, rhythms and dance styles from Cuba. Concepts of “Salsa a contratiempo”, couple rotations and Rueda de Casino are intensively practiced. Cuban rhythms such as Rumba, Son, Mambo, Cha cha cha, Pilón, Afro-Cuban beats and Cubatón (Cuban reggaeton) are explored further.

Salsa Level 6 - Superior
During the classes of this multi-week course we focus on stimulating and developing independence and creativity of the dancer. Making choreographies linking various figures, men/lady styling (improvisation), role rotations and dancing with two followers. Dancing variations of Cuban Rumba, like Guaguanco, Yambú and Columbia. We dance Rueda de Casino (up and down), Son Traditional, Son Montuno and Salsa "a contratiempo".

Cancel & recover missed classes
We are a dance school providing partner dances. For which we need equal ratios during each class. This requires commitment and discipline from all our students to stick to the original planning.
If you have to miss a class you need to cancel via your Mi Punto account. This is a requirement to join a course.
Even if you miss a class with a valid reason and “cancelled on time”, we can never guarantee recovering is possible. -
